I'm a freelance writer - half starved, but that's 50% better than most! - currently looking for a publisher for my 305,000 word epic sci-fi/fantasy 'modern gnostic' quest novel. I can't reveal the title as it's darned fine and I don't want to lose it to someone else (one can't copyright a title). It took me aeons of yonks to write and is now taking more yonks than expected to get published. But I'm certain it's a meant-to-be. When I was about a quarter the way through it I had an experience of the Anima Mundi who whispered in my ear: "It will be twice as good as you think." And now that it's finished - after numerous rewrites and edits - I feel that's right.
